The only real outgas chemicals would glue and solvents used to clean these parts. My mother has multiple chemical syndrome, which means she has a severe reaction to almost any chemical odors. Anyway, if you're worried about chemical odors, opt for a small business or one that makes the internal so that you can specify that you do not want too much glue or chemicals (which is not an option in most areas )…. or just get bed that was in a non-smoker for some years.
